An exciting step in the world of hospitality: the renowned Michelin Guide, previously known for its restaurant guides, will also be recognizing hotels from next year. More than 5000 hotels in 120 countries have already been carefully selected by the raters. In future, these hotels will be able to adorn themselves with a new prestigious symbol – the Michelin key.<\/p>\n
The selection criteria include not only architecture and design, but also the service, comfort and value for money of the accommodation. Guide Michelin places particular emphasis on the uniqueness of the establishment and the question of whether the hotel itself can function as a destination in its own right.<\/p>\n
With this new feature, the Michelin Guide wants to show travelers accommodations with character that offer more than just a room for the night. There will also be a special platform where travelers can share their own reviews and experiences. Expert support is also offered there and is available around the clock for inquiries.<\/p>\n
This initiative is a response to the increasing standardization in the hotel sector, particularly with regard to design and service. The list of hotels that will receive the coveted Michelin Key will be published in the first half of 2024.<\/p>\n
