Sous Chef (gn) Private Jet Catering
Our client defines the highest culinary standards in exclusive catering for private jets and stands for the highest culinary quality in the international aviation environment. The ambition is to transfer star gastronomy at an international level to the aviation environment. A new, strategically important destination with a complete team will be established at the Zurich location in the first quarter of 2026. You will work in a demanding environment that focuses on precision, uncompromising premium services and personal support.
What are you doing as a Sous Chef (gn) Private Jet Catering concretely
- You are the trusted right hand of the Executive Chef and are responsible for the daily implementation of the culinary vision.
- The precise execution of mise en place, cooking processes and serving methods at fine dining level is in your hands.
- You actively support the design of the seasonal menus and the daily specials.
- You guarantee consistent quality in terms of taste, technique and presentation.
- You mentor and accompany kitchen assistants and dishwashers to ensure a smooth team workflow.
- You will work closely with the kitchen management when ordering goods, keeping stock and checking inventories.
- You will ensure strict compliance with food safety standards, HACCP and allergen management.
- You contribute creative and sustainable ideas for regionally inspired dishes to reduce waste.
This is you
- You have successfully completed training as a chef EFZ and ideally have additional further training.
- At least five years of professional experience in Michelin gastronomy or the 5-star hotel industry is required.
- You have sound experience in international luxury hospitality, yachting or aviation.
- Your expertise includes modern European and Swiss cuisine as well as advanced HACCP knowledge.
- You have a keen sense of visual aesthetics, aroma balance and precision craftsmanship.
- You are confident in using common IT tools such as Excel and digital kitchen management systems.
- Business fluent German is required, while knowledge of English or French is an advantage.
- A valid class B driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
