The 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Hypercar class, the podium. Only those who give it their all—technology, talent, courage—can win. One compromise in a single area, and you fall behind, lap after lap.
16. June 2026
No one competes at Le Mans with mediocrity. A call for quality, courage, and investment.
It’s the same race in the world of fine dining
A client comes in with a clear vision. They’re looking for someone with a very specific profile, whether in the kitchen or front of house. Their request is clear: they want top-tier talent. Someone who can take the restaurant to the next level.
We’re getting down to business. You don’t find candidates like this in a week, and you won’t find them in a pile of applications. It takes time. It takes money. It takes patience.
And then it happens. Right in the middle of the hiring process, someone is hired on short notice. Someone who doesn’t even come close to matching the desired profile. They’re available right away, cheaper, and easy to work with. The problem is solved, the position is filled, and costs are saved.
On paper
Because at this moment, no one is asking the real question out loud: What impact will this compromise have on the institution’s excellence?
If you’re aiming for three stars in the guide, “okay” won’t get you there. If you want to compete in the ultra-luxury segment, where guests weigh every franc and every euro against the experience they receive, you can’t afford to be mediocre. Not in the kitchen, not at the table. If the cuisine in all of the establishment’s restaurants is “okay” but no longer measures up to the increased competition, then internal goals will remain unmet. Quietly. Quarter after quarter.
The market is ruthless right now. The competition for high-spending guests is getting tougher, not easier. Any compromise on talent is a step backward in the very race you want to win. And before you know it, you’ve fallen behind without even realizing when it happened.
We see this firsthand. That is why we are making this appeal.
For more courage. The courage to leave a position open for two more months rather than fill it with the wrong person.
For better quality. Not just a phrase in a job posting, but a commitment that shows up on the plate and in the guest’s experience every evening.
And ultimately, for the investment. Top talent comes at a price. But the alternative—gradually falling behind in the premium segment—costs far more.
No one wins Le Mans by cutting corners. And no one wins the race for the most demanding clients with a team that’s merely “okay.” We don’t fill positions that people want to get rid of quickly. We’re looking for people who share your ambition. If your company strives for excellence and is willing to take the right path rather than the fastest one, then let’s talk.
