An upscale restaurant with its own wine bar in a historic small town in Lower Austria. The house is located in the middle of a renowned wine region with direct access to well-known wine-growing areas such as Wachau and Kamptal. The restaurant seats around 50 guests and has a popular courtyard with a large white gravel floor, elegant tablecloths and large parasols. The restaurant combines regional ties with international standards and pursues a classic French cuisine concept with the aim of achieving a Michelin star.

What are you doing as a Sous chef (gn) Gourmet Kremstal concretely

  • You support the head chef in the creative design and implementation of the menus and ensure high quality standards
  • You lead the kitchen team independently when the head chef is absent and take responsibility for ensuring that service runs smoothly
  • You are the contact person for the induction and training of new colleagues
  • You take care of the coordination of orders, warehousing and efficient merchandise management
  • You contribute your own ideas for new dishes and thus actively contribute to the culinary concept

This is you

  • You have completed training in upscale gastronomy
  • You have several years of professional experience as a Chef de Partie or already as a Sous Chef
  • You love French cuisine and have high quality standards
  • You work in a structured, independent manner and are a team player with leadership skills
  • You are motivated to help shape an ambitious goal such as a Michelin star

Our client offers

  • Fair pay from approx. 2,500 EUR net per month plus tips between 600 and 1,000 EUR
  • Furnished staff apartments for the first few months subject to availability
  • 50% discount on food and wine for family and friends
  • Cooperation with a spa and access to a fitness studio in the region
  • Regular working hours: Wednesday lunch service only, Thursday and Friday evening service, Saturday and Sunday lunch and evening service
  • Working hours usually from 10:00 to 15:00 and 17:00 to 22:30, kitchen closes at 21:30
  • Fixed company vacations in February, closed over Christmas (except New Year’s Eve), and short closing times in January
  • Free cleaning of work clothes
  • Nutrition-conscious staff meal before service and snacks at the weekend
  • Family atmosphere in a small, motivated team in one of the most beautiful regions of Lower Austria with very good public transport connections to Vienna
